OOAK Design Studio was born out of a passion for curating a well-designed lifestyle and bringing healing energies into a space. Our portfolio encompasses the entire spectrum of design from brand ideation + product development to ground-up construction builds.

Profile

Founded in 2019 and based in Los Angeles, the studio is led by Principal Lisa Checo. Educated in art history and interior design at both Boston University and University of California, Los Angeles, Lisa draws on her deep knowledge of design history for each project. Mixing commissioned contemporary works with a range of vintage and antique furnishings allow these unique designs to span a wide range of culture and style.

Drawing on experience from her career in public relations at Saint Laurent, KCD Worldwide, and Karla Otto, Lisa specializes in creating luxurious yet comfortable vignettes in every project. Layered with vintage pieces, this dichotomy adds depth and character to her interiors.
